When it comes to rolling the perfect scoop of ice cream; it really comes down to the way you hold your wrist. Of course, there are some added tips and tricks which help, but the main thing to remember is to “scoop, and roll”. Follow these steps and you’ll nail the perfect ball of ice cream. We’ve broken down the process below:
- Remove your ice cream from the freezer a few minutes before you need to serve your dessert (hopefully your ice cream would have been stored near the back of the freezer, where it’s easier to keep at an even consistency).
- Prepare a cup, glass, or bowl filled with warm water to dip your ice cream scoop into between each serving. This will prevent the ice cream sticking to the serving spoon.
- Get rolling. The key is to scoop the ice cream up, then roll it into a ball. Continue this process; scoop, roll, dip, repeat, until you’ve got the sundae of your dreams.
- That’s pretty much it. Now that you’re the perfect ice cream scooper, grab a tub of your favourite Talley’s Ice Cream and scoop and roll a storm.
